1 - didn’t live up to their exciting ‘kung fu’ name: too soft, no structure and lacking in power. Bland. Dylski

4 - small portion of tastetastic noodleness. Lemongrass with a slightly sour tom yam favouring. Yum. Dylski

4 - a great start to 2009! No overpowering spices or heat in this one. The flavour more reminiscent of a crab and sweetcorn soup. The rice noodles were also a treat, unlike any others, with a pasta-like texture. Dylski

4 - great tasting beefy hot and sour soup noodles. Sort of tom yam but beefy not fishy and not fiercely hot either. Dylski.

3 - surprising tasty as relatively bland chicken soup-like flavours go. Could have been pork flavour though. Hard to tell really. Dylski

3 - a lightly spiced chicken soup with a little sachet of gloopy chicken fat. Mmm. Maybe a little too much MSG. Dylski

5 - not much to say but it was extremely delicious and I could eat at least two bowls of it. Quite chickeny soup. Milo

5 - with everything from pickled cabbage to weird dried vegetables and herby sauce to pure MSG, there’s not much that this soup lacks. It has a cloudy appearance and a flavour unlike most others in its class, which rely on raw heat, yet still manages to leave a glowing numbness in the mouth. Dylski

2 - a very promising start with great flavours from the rich fermented soya paste and floating sesame seeds. Unfortunately as the tastebuds grew weary on MSG the flavours diminished and the rest of the culinary experience was dominated by the texture of the rubbery noodles. Dylski

2 - hot in a peppery way. Maybe a little tomatoness to it too. Not much else to it. Dylski

3 - if you’re not looking for spice or heat but a strong porky sort-of flavour then these should hit the spot. Dylski
